Division Structure

Player Eligibility:
  • Ages: 4 & Up
  • All Abilities: Open to children with physical, developmental, or intellectual disabilities.
Buddies Program:
  • Players are often paired with a “Buddy”—typically another child, a peer, or volunteer—who helps with hitting, fielding, and running the bases. The Buddy’s role is to assist the player while encouraging independence as much as possible.

Game Play

  • Flexible Rules: The focus is on participation and having fun rather than competition.
  • All Players Participate: Each player on the roster gets to bat and field each inning, ensuring everyone is involved.
  • No Scorekeeping: The absence of scorekeeping removes pressure, fostering a positive, supportive environment.

Objective and Benefits

  • The Challenger Division promotes inclusion, teamwork, and physical activity while building self-esteem and friendships. Parents, caregivers, and communities often find the division provides an uplifting and encouraging experience for everyone involvedLittle League

Note for Parents

To complete your child’s registration for the upcoming season, three proofs of residency are required. Please note that if you do not upload these documents, your child’s registration will remain incomplete, and they will not be eligible to participate until all required documents are submitted.
This documentation is essential to comply with Little League regulations and ensure accurate registration. Please upload the proofs of residency as soon as possible to avoid any delays in your child’s eligibility to play.

The available divisions for your child during registration will be based on their league age, which is determined using the Little League age chart. Be sure to refer to the chart during registration to ensure your child is placed in the appropriate division for their age and skill level. You can use the official Little League Age Calculator here if needed.
This structure ensures that children develop their skills progressively and have the best experience possible with peers of similar abilities.
